I think such acts are undesirable and the system should be reinforced to prevent such cases from happening in the future.
Firstly, the applicants should not apply for more than what they need. Even if they could not make it to the parade, they should return the tickets to the organization or pass them to friends who are interested.
Secondly, there should be a review of distribution system to stop the abuse of NDP tickets. Applicants should be asked to fill in the particulars of people attending the parade. A quick identification check can be conducted at the entrance.
Thridly, the sale of NDP tickets should be made illegal. Unsuccessful applicants should also not play a part by not offering a market to those who seek to profit from the event. If they are unable to get the tickets this year, they should watch the parade through "live" telecasts on television and try applying for the tickets next year.
In conclusion, I feel that the parade is a celebration for the country and we should not try to seek to profit from the event.
